Rashod Bateman has been introduced officially to the Baltimore sports world.

On Saturday, the former Minnesota wide receiver and first-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft threw out the first pitch during the Baltimore Orioles’ home game against the Cleveland Indians. Plenty of photos and videos were shared of the experience.

Below are some of the pictures, as well as the video, from Saturday’s first pitch at Camden Yards:

Bateman was selected by the Ravens with the No. 27 overall pick in this year’s draft.

Bateman entered his name into the NFL Draft following the 2020 season. He left the Gophers after playing in 31 career games. He totaled 2,395 yards and 19 touchdowns on 147 receptions in three years. Last year, Bateman caught 36 passes for 472 yards and 2 touchdowns in just 5 games.

Unfortunately for Baltimore, Bateman did not bring any good luck with him, as the Indians defeated the Orioles 10-4 on Saturday. Still, it was an awesome experience for the former Golden Gopher.
