Pro Football Focus is very high on a pair of Big Ten offensive lines heading into the 2021 season.
PFF released it’s All-Returning offensive line on Saturday, and then Big Ten has two representatives: Ohio State LT Thayer Munford and Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum.
Here’s the full list:
Note: This lists Iowa RG Cole Banwart as well, but he’s not returning to the Hawkeyes next season.
Iowa’s offensive line has been dominant in recent years, and 2021 should be no different. Last season, the Hawkeyes finished fifth in the Big Ten in yards per rush and third in rushing touchdowns.
Linderbaum was one of the best centers in the nation a year ago. He was named a finalist for the Rimington Trophy — given annually to the country’s best center — and is one of the favorites to win that honor this season.
Munford leads an Ohio State offensive line that should be amongst the nation’s best in 2021. He was one of the best players in the country last season, and it was a big surprise when he decided to return for another year at Ohio State.
The Buckeyes open their season on Sept. 2 against Minnesota.
