Former Ohio State linebacker Jerome Baker will be sticking around Miami a little bit longer.

Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Baker and the Dolphins have agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension. Baker will receive $39 million in the deal, with $28.4 million in guaranteed money.

Baker’s rookie four-year deal was expiring. The former Buckeye was a third-round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft and has spent all three seasons in the league with the Dolphins.

Over the course of his career, Baker has been responsible for 317 tackles, 11.5 sacks, 10 pass break-ups, 4 forced fumbles, 2 interceptions and a defensive touchdown.

Baker had one of his best years during the 2020 season, piling up 112 stops and a career-best 7 sacks for Miami. He also forced 2 fumbles and was credited with 11 QB hits on the year.
