The Walter Camp preseason All-America teams have been released. Eight B1G players have made the cut.
On Thursday, the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced the preseason All-America teams for the 2021 season. Broken down, there are four B1G players on the first-team offense, two on the first-team defense and two more on the second-team defense. There were none on the second-team offense.
By school, Ohio State led the way with three selections. No other program had more than one player on the list, with Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, Indiana and Rutgers all having a representative.
Here’s a look at the preseason All-American teams:
1st Team Offense
WR: Chris Olave, Ohio State
OL: Thayer Munford, Ohio State
C: Tyler Linderbaum, Iowa
RB: Mohamed Ibrahim, Minnesota
1st Team Defense
DL: Haskell Garrett, Ohio State
DB: Brandon Joseph, Northwestern
2nd Team Defense
LB: Micah McFadden, Indiana
KR: Aron Cruickshank, Rutgers
