The Holiday Bowl is heading to a new venue.
It was announced this week that the Holiday Bowl will be moving to Petco Park in downtown San Diego after being played at Qualcomm Stadium for the past 42 years. CEO Mark Neville confirmed the move, according to ESPN.
Last year’s game was supposed to be the first matchup between the Pac-12 and ACC under a new contract. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the bowl game was canceled and this year’s game will be the first featuring teams from those two conferences.
