Houser had been committed to the Broncos since April.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Houser is a 3-star prospect. The composite has him ranked as the No. 27 quarterback and the No. 396 overall player for the class of 2022.

Houser attends St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, Calif. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds.

If Michigan State does add Houser to its 2022 class, he would be the Spartans’ highest-rated commitment per the composite. Currently, Michigan State’s top commitment in that class is 3-star safety Malik Spencer, who is ranked as the No. 586 player in the country.

The Spartans currently have 10 commitments in the class. They’re ranked No. 32 nationally and No. 7 in the Big Ten.
