Twitter reacts to promising start for B1G in College Football Playoff rankings
The first College Football Playoff rankings are out and – not surprisingly – the B1G dominated the top 12 spots.
Five teams from the B1G – Penn State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan – were all ranked remarkably high in the first polls of the season, proving that the selection committee is impressed with the body of work the conference has put together in the early stages of the season.
The rankings are as follow:
12. Penn State
10. Nebraska
8. Wisconsin
6. Ohio State
3. Michigan

Wisconsin at No. 8 is worth watching. If it wins Big Ten at 10-2, it has to be in playoff with the schedule it has played.

For teams outside the CFP rankings' initial Top 10 tonight.. #OU was 15th in the first rankings last year and made the Playoff.

Regardless of where your favorite team fell into place, you’ll have to admit, this was a good first showing for the B1G. With some huge implications on the line in the coming weeks, it should be interesting to see how things play out in the final month of the season.
