Hunter Dickinson has made a decision on his future. He’s not quite ready for the NBA just yet.
Tuesday morning, Rothstein announced that the Michigan center will be returning to Ann Arbor for another season at the college level. After a strong freshman campaign with the Wolverines, Dickinson entered his name into the NBA Draft to test the waters.
Instead of keeping his name in the NBA Draft, Dickinson will return to a Michigan team that won a B1G regular season title in 2020-21 and earned a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Wolverines reached the Elite Eight.
Michigan's Hunter Dickinson is withdrawing from the 2021 NBA Draft and will return to college, per a statement from his representatives.

Dickinson made an immediate contribution in a big way for Michigan in his first season. The 7-foot center averaged 14.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game while shooting just under 60% from the floor. He notched six double-doubles and scored a career-high 28 points in a January victory over Minnesota.
At the conclusion of the college basketball season, Dickinson was a second-team All-American selection by the Associated Press. He was named the B1G Freshman of the Year and was also named the B1G Newcomer of the Year by the Associated Press.
Dickinson’s return is a huge boost for the Wolverines as head coach Juwan Howard enters his third season with the program.
