The nonconference slate is set. Ohio State’s basketball team will face plenty of challenges in the upcoming season.
On Thursday, Ohio State revealed its nonconference schedule for the 2021-22 campaign. The Buckeyes will have a handful of premier games, with guaranteed matchups against Xavier, Duke and Kentucky.
Below is a look at Ohio State’s nonconference schedule for the upcoming season:
- Nov. 1: TBD (Exhibition)
- Nov. 9: vs. Akron
- No. 12: vs. Niagara
- No. 15: vs. Bowling Green
- No. 18: at Xavier
- No. 22-24: Seton Hall/Cal/Florida (Fort Myers Tip-off)
- Nov. 30: vs. Duke (B1G-ACC Challenge)
- Dec. 8: vs. Towson
- Dec. 18: vs. Kentucky (CBS Sports Classic)
- Dec. 21: vs. Tennessee Martin
- Dec. 28: vs. New Orleans
The Buckeyes posted a 21-10 record during the 2020-21 season, including a 12-8 mark in B1G play. The Buckeyes earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament but fell in the opening round to Oral Roberts.
Chris Holtmann will be entering his fifth season as the head coach at Ohio State this year.
