With Borcherding-Johnson’s commitment, Iowa has at least one pledge in the 2022, 2023 and 2024 recruiting classes.
At 6-foot-3, 270 pounds, Borcherding-Johnson had received two offers on the recruiting front at the time of his commitment. He picked Iowa over in-state rival Iowa State. Right now, Borcherding-Johnson does not have any rankings per 247Sports Composite.
Iowa’s lone commitment in the 2024 class, Cody Fox, is also an in-state defensive lineman. He hails from Winthrop.
