Four from B1G named CoSIDA Academic All-America Team

Four players from the B1G have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team. The teams were announced on Monday, and all four players from the league earned first-team honors.

Minnesota, Indiana, Wisconsin and Northwestern all had representatives on the Academic All-America Team this year. Golden Gophers offensive lineman Blaise Andries was one of nine repeat selections for the squad.

Per the release, The 2020-21 Academic All-America Division I Football Team features 12 players who earned a 4.00 GPA and 25 who achieved a 3.9 GPA or higher.

Below are the four B1G players who received recognition:

First Team

  • OL: Blaise Andries, Minnesota
  • OL: Harry Crider, Indiana
  • DL: Matt Henningsen, Wisconsin
  • ST: Tyler Gillikin, Northwestern
