A former Michigan State defensive end is headed to East Carolina.
Former Spartans lineman Jasiyah Robinson has reportedly committed to ECU and is listed on the team’s roster as a linebacker. MLive.com reported the news on Monday afternoon.
Robinson entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal in late April, just a few days after Michigan State concluded spring practice. It was the team’s first spring season under head coach Mel Tucker, with last year’s being canceled because of the pandemic.
The Spartans finished 2-5 in 2020.
Robinson was a member of Michigan State’s 2020 recruiting class and was a 3-star prospect out of high school. He did not see any game action for the Spartans, opting out after the start of the campaign.
