Michigan made the cut for 3-star defensive lineman Deone Walker.

Walker announced his top-five on Wednesday afternoon, and the Wolverines were included alongside four other Power 5 programs: Missouri, Georgia, Arizona State and Kentucky.

Here’s the announcement:

Walker attends Class Technical High School in Detroit. He’s listed at 6-foot-6, 340 pounds.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Walker is the No. 365 overall player and the No. 53 defensive lineman in the country for the class of 2022. He’s also ranked as the No. 11 overall player from the state of Michigan.

Michigan’s 2022 recruiting class is one of the best in the nation. The Wolverines’ are currently ranked No. 10 nationally and No. 3 in the Big Ten, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Walker would be the fifth commitment so far from the state of Michigan. The class is led by 5-star defensive back Will Johnson, who also hails from the Great Lakes State.

There is no timetable for Walker’s commitment.
