Star off the field: Justin Fields surprises Bears fan who recently sustained gunshot wound

Justin Fields hasn’t thrown a single pass for the Chicago Bears yet, but he’s already becoming a favorite in the city. His recent off-the-field actions are further proof the organization is in great hands.
The new quarterback for the Bears recently visited Scott Morrow, a fan who was shot and seriously injured on June 20, after learning about the situation. In an interview with the Parkins & Spiegel Show on 670 The Score, Morrow said that he didn’t want to die without seeing Fields play for his favorite team.
“Within a couple moments, I thought, ‘Well, I’m 41, pretty much all of Chicago has gone our whole lives without even having great prospects for a franchise quarterback, I can’t die before seeing Justin Fields take the field, man,” Morrow said.
“I think there was maybe a little power of the Beloved coursing through the veins there. A couple two or three extra shots of adrenaline. I don’t plan to die before he’s a Hall of Famer.”

On Monday, after catching wind of the story, Fields surprised Morrow by visiting him. Fields’ parents also made the trip to see Morrow.
Fields brought a jersey for Morrow and the two, as well as the family, took some photos.
What an incredible moment for Morrow and awesome gesture from Fields and his family. It’s just further evidence that the Chicago Bears made a great decision with their 1st round pick.
