As Ohio State begins its quest for a national title, there’s some positive roster news.

During Friday’s edition of B1G Media Days, Ohio State coach Ryan Day revealed that safety Marcus Hooker has been reinstated on the roster and is eligible for Ohio State’s season opener at Minnesota.

Hooker pleaded guilty to an OVI charge in March and was previously suspended indefinitely.

“He’s back with the team,” Day said. “He’s going through a tough time, but he’s learned a lot from it and paid his dues and went through a bunch of different programs and so, we’re supporting Marcus and he’s back on the team.”

In 2020, Hooker amassed 13 tackles and an interception.

Ohio State’s matchup vs. Minnesota is slated for Sept. 2 (8 p.m. EST) and will be televised on FOX.
