Tate Martell is reportedly on the move again.

According to Josh Poloha of WFNY in Cleveland, Martell will be transferring to UNLV for the fall. He started his career at Ohio State before transferring to Miami. This will be Martell’s third school.

A native of Las Vegas, Martell’s transfer to UNLV will be a homecoming for the quarterback.

Martell was a 4-star member of Ohio State’s 2017 recruiting class and was ranked as the No. 2 dual-threat quarterback in his cycle. He spent two seasons with the Buckeyes before leaving the program after Justin Fields transferred in from Georgia.

In 2018, Martell appeared in six games at Ohio State, completing 23-of-28 passes for 269 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 128 yards and 2 additional scores.

While at Miami, Martell appeared in just three games and completed his lone pass for 7 yards. He also had 7 carries for 7 yards. At one point during his time with the Hurricanes, Martell tried to working with the wide receivers in an effort to get more playing time.

Martell will be joining the Rebels with two years of eligibility, thanks to the NCAA’s blanket waiver for all fall student-athletes during the 2020 season.
