A popular Indiana basketball event might be coming to an end after the 2021-22 season.

Mike Carmin of the Journal & Courier reported on Tuesday that the Crossroads Classic — an event that features Purdue, Indiana, Notre Dame and Butler every December — has likely run its course. While it’s still scheduled to proceed this year, it will be the last time the event is played.

The Crossroads Classic started in 2011. Matchups would Purdue and Indiana playing Notre Dame or Butler, swapping opponents every other year. The Boilermakers and Hoosiers never had a matchup in the annual event.

Indiana owned the best record in the 10-year history, going 7-3. Purdue struggled in Indianapolis, posting  a 3-7 mark. Butler was 6-4 and Notre Dame was 4-6.

This year, Notre Dame will play Indiana and Butler will take on Purdue. Games are played at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
