A local cornerback is back on the market for Michigan and Michigan State.

Sunday, 3-star cornerback and Michigan native Jeremiah Caldwell announced that he has decommitted from Kentucky and will be re-opening his recruitment. He holds offers from both the Wolverines and Spartans as a member of the 2022 class.

“First I would like to thank the staff at the University of Kentucky for giving me the opportunity to come and play and be a part of their amazing program,” Caldwell said. “When I had committed a few months ago I felt like this was the right choice for me and my family…. With a lot of time and thinking… I will be decommitting from the University of Kentucky and making my recruitment back 100% open. Thank you BBN nation for all the support.”

Caldwell initially committed to Kentucky back in January. Since then, he’s landed Power 5 offers from Michigan State, Michigan and Tennessee. He’s also received interest from Iowa State, Alabama A&M, Arkansas State, Central Michigan, Tennessee State and Toledo.
