Fall camp is underway in Champaign.

Illinois has the opportunity the start camp a little earlier than most B1G programs with a Week 0 game on the schedule. The Fighting Illini open the year with a home game against Nebraska on Saturday, Aug. 28. The Huskers have also started fall camp.

On Monday morning, Illinois released an intense hype video as it prepares for the 2021 campaign. The Fighting Illini will be entering the year under new head coach Bret Bielema, who brings experience from Wisconsin and Arkansas to the sidelines.

Below is the video, shared by Illinois’ athletic department.

Illinois is coming off a 2-6 season in 2020 but returns over 20 super-seniors on the roster. Even though there’s been a coaching change, there’s a lot of optimism swirling around Champaign heading into the season.

This hype video will only have more people in the state ready for that first kickoff later this month.
