No wonder the Bears traded up to grab the former Ohio State quarterback.

Below is the clip from Bears training camp, shared by PFF. Fields might just be starting his NFL career, but this throw makes him look like a seasoned veteran.

Bears head coach Matt Nagy has said multiple times that Andy Dalton is the No. 1 quarterback on the depth chart heading into the season. That was shortly after the NFL Draft.

There’s still time for Nagy to have a change of heart, or for Fields to prove he deserves to be the starter when Chicago takes the field against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1. And if he continues to make throws like the one above, it’ll be hard for Nagy to keep the rookie off the field.
