Michigan is hoping for good news from a defensive recruit out of San Diego next week.

The player is Jahlil Florence, a 3-star defensive back out of San Diego, California. Listed at 6-foot-1 and 180 lbs., Florence is considering the Wolverines, Oregon, and Washington.

He revealed on Twitter that his decision will be coming up next Thursday on Aug. 12:

According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Florence is the No. 26 prospect out of California and the No. 37 CB nationally for the cycle. He is also rated as the No. 370 player in the nation. Though coming in as a 3-star on the composite rankings, 247 Sports rates Florence as a 4-star prospect.

Michigan already has two cornerbacks led by 5-star recruit Will Johnson for the class of 2022, so it will be interesting to see if that plays a role in Florence’s decision.
