Friday evening was a big moment for a number of ex-players as the Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrined the latest class of inductees.

It was a star-studded group that included Peyton Manning, Calvin Johnson, Paul Tagliabue, Edgerrin James, and others. Michigan was also heavily represented as Wolverine legend and Heisman winner Charles Woodson received his gold jacket.

The Wolverines were also represented with another inductee and teammate of Woodson’s. That was Steve Hutchinson, a two-time All-American lineman during his time in Ann Arbor.

Hutchinson played for the Wolverines from 1996-2000 and was a key member of the 1997 National Championship at Michigan. After finishing his career, he became a first-round draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2001.

Hutchinson embarked on a 12-year career as an NFL lineman and was one of the most consistent performers throughout his career. He finished as a seven-time Pro-Bowler and was named to five All-Pro teams.
