Michigan State has officially announced their Hall of Fame class for 2021 and it includes Charles Rogers, who’s one of the best players in the program’s history.

The announcement came early Monday afternoon and all of the athletes will be inducted on Sept. 24.

Rogers played for the Spartans in 2001 and 2002 and was a one-man wrecking crew in the process. He’s still the all-time leader in touchdown receptions with 27 and he ranks third in school history in receiving yards with 2,821.

He also still owns the two best single-season marks for receiving yards as in 2001, he finished with 1,470, and in 2002, he finished with 1,351.

After those two incredible seasons, Rogers was a top-5 pick in the 2003 NFL Draft as he was selected by the Detroit Lions. He played there for three seasons and totaled 440 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

Rogers passed away far too early in 2019 at the age of 38. His legacy as a Spartan will always live on.
