There’s always going to be players hitting the transfer portal even as fall camp is underway and that was no different on Monday with Ohio State.

According to Eleven Warriors, veteran offensive lineman Ryan Jacoby has entered the transfer portal.

As the article says, Jacoby hasn’t played a snap for the Buckeyes and was slated to be a backup once again this season. He’s also the first Buckeye to leave the program since May so the transfer portal hasn’t been affecting them as much as it has other schools.

Prior to committing to OSU, Jacoby was considered a 4-star prospect per 247Sports and the 283rd ranked player nationally. He also was 23rd ranked tackle in the country and the 7th best recruit in Ohio for the class of 2019. He ended up committing to the Buckeyes in March of 2018.

As of right now, there’s no indication as to where he may go, but it’s safe to say he’s looking for a starting opportunity.
