Fall camp is in full swing as we gear closer to the 2021 college football season. That’s no different for the Northwestern Wildcats as they look to repeat as B1G West division champions.

On Tuesday morning, the Wildcats released a video of freshman WR Calvin Johnson II making an insane one-handed grab inside Northwestern’s practice facility.

The video may remind some people of a player with the same name who just got inducted into the Hall of Fame this past weekend Calvin Johnson who played for the Detroit Lions from 2007-2015.

He is considered to be one of the most decorated WRs in the history of the NFL. The Wildcats can only hope that Johnson II will turn out to be anything close to the original Megatron.

Johnson II is 5-foot-11 180-pound WR out of Mississippi who was a 3-star recruit coming out of high school per 247sports.com https://247sports.com/player/calvin-johnson-ii-46101839/

Johnson II had offers from Iowa, Penn State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and many other schools in his recruitment process.

The Wildcats look to build off an impressive 2020 camp where they won the B1G West division title, going 6-2 in B1G play and 7-2 overall last season.

The Wildcats open the season vs. the Michigan State Spartans Friday, Sept. 3rd, in Evanston, IL.
