One former Badger is on the move in the NFL, reportedly going from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Pittsburgh Steelers via trade.

The player is Joe Schobert, a linebacker who spent the 2020 season with the Jaguars after beginning his career with the Cleveland Browns. He posted 141 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 3 interceptions, and 2.5 sacks.

The reported trade comes just one year removed from Schobert signing a five-year deal with Jacksonville. Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network reported the trade while Schobert’s wife, Megan, hinted at the deal on Twitter:

Schobert has appeared in 77 games (65 starts) since joining the league in 2016. He has 549 tackles with 9 interceptions, 9 forced fumbles, and 11 sacks.
