Report: Ex-Penn State QB named starter at Kentucky for Week 1

One former Nittany Lion has reportedly landed the starting job at his new home.
According to Kyle Tucker with The Athletic, Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops is expected to name ex-Penn State quarterback Will Levis the starter for Week 1. Kentucky has scheduled a 6 pm EST press conference to address the QB situation.
According to Tucker, Kentucky offensive coordinator Liam Coen has been a big believer in Levis since his arrival. The Wildcats face UL-Monroe on Sept. 4 to start the season.

Can confirm Stoops will name Penn State transfer Will Levis the Week 1 starter. OC Liam Coen has believed in Levis from the jump. Early camp only reinforced it.

Levis appeared in 14 games between the 2019-20 season with the Nittany Lions. He completed 61 of 102 passes for 644 yards, 3 TDs, and 2 interceptions. He also rushed for 473 yards and 6 touchdowns while at Penn State.
It will be interesting to see how Levis fares in his time with the Wildcats.
