The opening of the 2021 college football season is just over two weeks away, and it’s time for everyone to start putting together their predictions for who will be the teams and players to watch.

Fox CFB analyst R.J. Young has come up with his top 5 players he expects to have breakout breakout seasons during 2021, and a pair of Ohio State Buckeyes have made his list.

Treveyon Henderson comes in at Young’s No. 5 spot. Now Henderson isn’t the starting tailback at Ohio State, but Young feels that the Buckeyes No. 32 is just that good, and that we’ll be seeing him on the field and making his presence known as the season progresses.

At the top of the list Young has OSU quarterback C.J. Stroud. Young believes that Stroud will be the starter in Columbus, and recent reports have him in an early lead in the competition for the spot with redshirt freshman Jack Miller and true freshman Kyle McCord during training camp. Young feels that after watching Justin Fields for a year that Stroud has both the arm talent, and the frame of Fields-like quarterback, and that if he gets the opportunity he can lead the Buckeyes to a National Championship.

Will it happen? We’ll just have to watch and see.
