Indiana comes into the season ranked in the AP Top-25 preseason poll for the first time in over 50 years. The Hoosiers are ranked No. 17 to start the season.
The Hoosiers are coming off of one of their best seasons ever as a football program as they went 6-2 on the abbreviated B1G season and their only blemish in B1G play was to the Ohio State Buckeyes, who end up winning the B1G and finishing as the national runner-up.
The Hoosiers start the season on the road as they play another AP Top-25 preseason poll team the No.18 Iowa Hawkeyes on Saturday, Sept. 4, which should be a thrilling B1G opener.
