Ohio State 4-star 2023 TE target sets commitment date

One of Ohio State’s biggest recruits for the 2023 class has set a commitment date.
4-star tight end Ty Lockwood will announce his college decision on Thursday, he says. He’ll chose between Ohio State, Penn State, Florida State and South Carolina.

Lockwood is the No. 8 tight end for the class of 2022, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also rated as the No. 142 overall player in the country and the No. 3 player in the state of Tennessee.
Lockwood recently visited Florida State, per 247Sports. However, 247Sports director of recruiting Steve Wiltfong is projecting that the Buckeyes will land Lockwood.
He would be Ohio State’s first commitment in the class of 2023. The Buckeyes are currently ranked No. 3 nationally for the class of 2022, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
