What Ryan Day said during his Saturday press conference

Ohio State has named a starting quarterback.
Head coach Ryan Day met with reporters on Saturday morning, announcing that CJ Stroud has been named the starter for the Buckeyes’ season opener against Minnesota. Stroud was competing with Jack Miller III, Kyle McCord and Quinn Ewers for the top spot on the depth chart.
While the quarterback conversation was the biggest takeaway from Saturday, it wasn’t the only thing Day talked about. The head coach talked about several topics while meeting with the media.

Ryan Day said Kamryn Babb remains unavailable after suffering a fourth ACL injury this offseason, but was named a captain because of the resilience he's shown and the impact he's made on Ohio State off the field.
