Immediate results for Jacksonville under Urban Meyer were always a long shot, but social media is still sounding off on Monday’s lackluster showing.

The Jaguars are in New Orleans Monday to take on the Saints in the second week of preseason action. And though it is just the second game, fans and analysts alike are not impressed with what they are seeing.

One particular problem is the lack of offense. Entering halftime, the Jaguars had managed just 3 points with a number of inconsistent drives scattered throughout.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence found a bit of a groove just before the half but was still unable to find the end zone. He finished 14-for-23 passing with 113 yards. Lawrence led the offense on six drives with the final drive ending on a missed field goal attempt.

As a team, the Jacksonville offense managed just 134 yards on 34 first-half plays. That is not a pretty picture, and plenty of people took aim at Meyer and the Jaguars on social media.
