Ohio State included in Top 12 for nation’s No. 2 prospect in 2023 class

The nation’s No. 2 prospect in the Class of 2023 dropped his Top 12 list and Ohio State made the cut.
Georgia defensive lineman Lebbeus Overton shared the list on his Twitter on Aug. 25:

The full list includes Ohio State, USC, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Alabama, Clemson, LSU, Kentucky, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and UNC.
The 6-foot-5, 265-pound Overton is a five-star prospect, the No. 1 prospect in Georgia, and the No. 1 overall defensive lineman in the nation, according to 247Sports. Overton has a 247Sports composite score of 0.9992.
Ohio State’s Class of 2023 is currently ranked 15th nationally and 3rd in the B1G, according to 247Sports. The lone hard commit so far is four-star Tennessee tight end Ty Lockwood.
Ohio State is coming off a season in which they captured the B1G title and lost to Alabama in the national championship game. Ohio State kicks off this season with a primetime road matchup at Minnesota on Sept. 2 (8 p.m. EST/FOX).
