A lot of the B1G schools have been releasing their mask/vaccine card policies lately and Illinois is the latest to join the fray.

Jeremy Werner of 247Sports got a copy of their press release on their policy for the season and posted it on his Twitter.

As the statement says, all fans and visitors are required to wear masks in the indoor sections of the stadium, such as elevators, first-aid rooms, restrooms, etc. However, masks will not be required to wear masks while seated during the games.

This is similar to what Ohio State announced in their press release a couple of weeks ago. Masks will be required in all interior public places at the Horshoe, while they won’t be required in the seating bowls, concession stands, and getting into the stadium.

Illinois will have their home opener (and season opener) this Saturday on Aug. 28 against Nebraska. Kickoff will be at 1 p.m. ET and it’ll be televised by FOX.
