Michigan fans have experienced a wide range of emotions since Jim Harbaugh came to town, but the fanbase received one surprising label from Kirk Herbstreit.

During a recent discussion on Pardon my Take, Herbstreit labeled the Wolverine faithful as a group that is lacking in passion when compared to some of the other fanbases in the B1G.

“They’re not as passionate about sports,” explained Herbstreit. “You know how Michigan, they have great fans but compared to Madison, or State College, or Columbus, or Iowa.

“It’s almost like ‘Yeah, we went to the game, we’re running companies we’re doing other things. We’ve got other things going on besides football. Our lives are bigger than if we win or lose on Saturday.'”

To be fair, the recent years of the Jim Harbaugh experience have been more frustrating than anything else. But overall, are the Michigan faithful really lacking in passion for the Wolverines?
