Florida State will dedicate this season to late legendary head coach Bobby Bowden. Florida State plans to honor Bowden in a variety of ways, according to Action Network’s Brett McMurphy.

Florida State will honor Bowden on its helmets, coaches shirts, and on the field at Doak Campbell Stadium.

This is a classy move to recognize the man who transformed Florida State into a national powerhouse. Bowden ranks second all-time in Division I victories and guided Florida State to two national championships (1993, 1999) and 12 ACC championships.

Florida State kicks off the 2021 season with a primetime home matchup vs. Notre Dame on Sept. 5 (7:30 p.m. EST/ABC).
