The season opener for Ohio State and Minnesota is finally here with a Thursday night matchup in Minneapolis.

After a long offseason of preparing, both teams are locked in and ready to go on the hunt for a B1G Championship. It also looks like a large number of NFL personnel will be on hand for Thursday’s game.

According to Dan Hope with Eleven Warriors, 31 scouts from various teams around the NFL have press box seats for the game. The 49ers lead the way with 5 scouts expected to be in attendance and a host of other teams sending 2 or 3 scouts to the game.

Ohio State has a lot of firepower offensively that is bound to draw some eyeballs. The star-studded receiving duo of Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson is a tandem to keep an eye on, as are offensive linemen Thayer Munford and Nicholas Petit-Frere.

For the Gophers, senior quarterback Tanner Morgan and senior running back Mohamed Ibrahim are a duo to watch closely. Ibrahim posted a 1,000-yard season in just 7 games during 2020 while Morgan has a 62% completion percentage throughout his career.
