Fans were back in B1G stadiums for the first time since 2019. The atmosphere across the B1G was electric. It indeed shows why fans are so important to sports and especially college football.
The B1G has some of the greatest traditions in college football, from the Tunnel Walk at Nebraska, The Iowa Wave, Michigan hitting the GO BLUE banner at midfield, Ohio State’s Dotting the “I,” Penn State’s white-out and many more. These traditions are great, but they all happen either before the game or at the half. One of the best traditions in the B1G occurs at the beginning of the 4th quarter Wisconsin’s Jump Around.
I will never forget todays JUMP AROUND…I had straight chills for 5 min…even if I wanted to say something I wouldn’t have been able to speak
Huge props to our producer Chuck McDonald, director Rich Dewey and the entire crew for their incredible idea and coverage!! https://t.co/ruBQL3OMU2

The FOX crew was getting super into the Jump Around as they were ecstatic to have fans back in the stands as they had to call games with no fans in the stands last season due to COVID-19. In the two-minute clip, you see Play by Play announcer Gus Johnson bopping slightly to the Jump Around, and then the FOX camera crews pan down to FOX sideline reporter Jenny Taft, and she’s jumping around with all the fans.
Joel Klatt, the color announcer for FOX, had this to say when talking about the Jump Around.
“I will never forget todays JUMP AROUND…,” said Klatt via his Twitter account. “I had straight chills for 5 min…even if I wanted to say something I wouldn’t have been able to speak Huge props to our producer Chuck McDonald, director Rich Dewey and the entire crew for their incredible idea and coverage!!”
Wisconsin would go on to lose to No.19 Penn State 16-10.
Next up for the Badgers is the Eastern Michigan Eagles out of the MAC.
