Venturing to Minneapolis on Thursday, September 2, No. 4 Ohio State picked up a conference victory at night over the Golden Gophers, 45-31, in redshirt freshman quarterback C.J. Stroud’s first career start.

No. 11 Oregon was not quite as impressive but still picked up a win, holding off Fresno State, 31-24, in Eugene Saturday.

Long-billed as one of the marquee non-conference tilts of the season, the Ducks will travel to Columbus Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on FOX. The time of this game could hold some significance, as it represents a 9 a.m. PT kick.

DraftKings unveiled their early line for this contest, and it is clear they like the Buckeyes’ chances of moving to 2-0, as Ohio State is a 14-point favorite. That line is understandable, given the struggles of Oregon in Week 1 and the status of one of the Ducks’ star defenders.

Oregon’s star defensive end, junior Kayvon Thibodeaux, left their season-opener with a sprained left ankle and his availability for this top-12 showdown will be a situation to monitor as Saturday nears.
