Youngstown State will have its hands full with Mel Tucker and Michigan State in Week 2, and one of the defensive backs for the Penguins recently shared how he prepares for every game.

In Week 1, both the Spartans and Penguins were winners. The only difference is Michigan State beat Northwestern by double digits while Youngstown State needed overtime to beat Incarnate Word.

Recently, Penguins DB Keyon Martin was asked about preparation for big games, and he said he prepares for each game in the same way. For Martin, that means following the receivers he will be opposing on Instagram ahead of game time.

He just wants his opposition to be aware of who they will be going up against on the field:

That’s one way to go about it! Michigan State’s leading receiver in Week 1 was Jayden Reed with 5 catches for 64 yards. However, a bigger worry for Youngstown State will be Kenneth Walker III. He rushed for 264 yards and 4 touchdowns in the opener.
