Rutgers LB Olukunle Fatukasi, punter Adam Korsak rake in national honors

Rutgers was extremely dominant in a convincing 61-14 Week 1 victory vs. Temple. For the strong showing, a pair of Rutgers players raked in some national honors.
Linebacker Olakunle Fatukasi is the Chuck Bednarik award player of the week and punter Adam Korsak is the Ray Guy award player of the week.

Fatukasi wreaked major havoc on the Temple offense, tallying three sacks, four tackles for losses, a forced fumble, and a safety. The 6-foot-2, 240-pound Fatukasi was one of 16 national semifinalists for the Butkus Award in 2020. Fatukasi has amassed 222 total tackles, 3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and four fumble recoveries during his time at Rutgers.
Korsak booted his six punts for an average of 49.5 yards, with a long of 67 yards. Korsak was selected Second Team All-B1G by the media and Third Team by the coaches in 2020.
