If you’re looking at Northwestern’s schedule thinking it doesn’t seem tough, you might be onto something.
Pro Football Focus says Northwestern’s remaining schedule is the second-easiest for a Power 5 school, trailing only Clemson.
Easiest remaining schedule by power five teams (PFF Opponent ELO):
1. Clemson
2. Northwestern
3. Oregon
4. North Carolina
5. Duke pic.twitter.com/sC0kh47VNH— PFF College (@PFF_College) September 9, 2021
The Wildcats are coming off a 38-21 loss to Michigan State in their season opener, but get some reprieve with their upcoming games. It starts with a game against Indiana State at home this weekend before heading to Duke in Week 3 and hosting Ohio in Week 4 to close out non-conference play.
In B1G play, Northwestern has Nebraska and Rutgers out of the gate before heading to Michigan. The season ends with two home games against Minnesota and Iowa and the season finale in Madison against Wisconsin.
Not a bad draw for Pat Fitzgerald’s group, which struggled against Michigan State in Week 1.
Northwestern and Indiana State are set to kick off on Sept. 11 at 11 a.m. CT on the B1G Network.
