Justin Fields did not have to wait long to see the field during his regular-season NFL debut.
Early Sunday, it was reported that Chicago was preparing a package of plays tailored to Fields for the game against Los Angeles. Thought not starting, the expectation was that the Bears might use Fields in certain spots.
That proved to be the case with Fields getting an early look on the first drive of the game. On a 2nd-and-10 play in the red zone, Fields completed an easy nine-yard pass.

Unfortunately, a false start moved the offense back to a 3rd-and-6 play with Andy Dalton throwing an interception in the end zone. It did not take long for the Rams to turn that interception into a touchdown.
Now the only thing left to find out is how long the Bears will ride with Dalton if he has further struggles against Los Angeles’ defense.
