Just as Oregon is getting set to get its star defensive end back, it’s losing a linebacker for the season.
Freshman Justin Flowe, a former 5-star recruit, is expected to miss the rest of the season with a foot injury, according to The Athletic and FOX Sports’ Bruce Feldman. It’s yet another hit for the Ducks secondary, which is also without linebackers Dru Mathis and Jackson LaDuke.
SOURCES: Oregon LB Justin Flowe, the former 5-star, is expected to be out the length of the regular season, if not the rest of the year due to foot injury. LBs Dru Mathis and Jackson LaDuke are also expected to be sidelined with injuries for an extended length of time.

Oregon pulled off a major upset in Week 2, defeating then-No. 3 Ohio State 35-28 in Columbus — without Kayvon Thibodeaux, who’s projected at the top of multiple NFL mock drafts. His status is still unclear for the Ducks’ next game against Stony Brook this week.
Now, the Ducks have to fill yet another hole on defense before conference play gets started later this month. But first, Oregon has to face Stony Brook on Sept. 18. Kickoff for that game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
