Iowa has been put on a lot of people’s radars after their first 2 performances and that includes both Jason Fitz and Gary Striewski from ESPN College Football.

They both spoke about the Hawkeyes on Friday night’s show called “The Kickoff” and it was Striewski who seemed to be more bullish on them.

“It’s not like Iowa has all of a sudden burst onto the scene. They’ve been good for quite some time and they’ve been sort of building up to this moment and now with Ohio State losing last week, this could be the year that they’re the ones who come out of the Big Ten at this point. They already have 2 ranked wins and they have an awesome schedule that could set them up for that possibility.”

The schedule part seems to be lost in a lot of discussions as the Hawkeyes currently only play 2 ranked teams the rest of the way.

They host No. 10 Penn State on Oct. 9 and then travel to Madison to play No. 18 Wisconsin on Oct. 30.
