TreVeyon Henderson discusses record-breaking performance in first career start for Ohio State

Ohio State pulled away late Saturday for the win over Tulsa, and it was on the work of true freshman TreVeyon Henderson that paved the way for the win.

Henderson was all over the field, running over and through the Tulsa defense to the tune of 277 yards rushing. He also had a catch for 5 yards and scored 3 TDs on the ground. His body of work also snapped an Ohio State record that was held by Archie Griffin.

After the game, Henderson took his turn with the media. He indicated he was unaware that he would start against Tulsa until Saturday, setting the stage for his dramatic showing.

Henderson also discussed how he avoided what he felt would be a dangerous injury in the second half after a Tulsa defender fell on his knee. Fortunately, he came away okay from that exchange.

Henderson on the brief injury: "I went down and the nose (tackle) came down on my knee. I felt like it almost snapped. Luckily, I came out healthy."
