In Auburn’s first road game against a B1G foe in 90 years, Penn State defeated the Tigers, 28-20, on September 18.

A one-point game early in the fourth quarter, the contest lived up to its billing as one of the best non-conference matchups on the 2021 state, but it was not without controversy.

The controversy was related to the officiating – the game utilized an SEC crew – as a few calls were questionable. The most glaring of these was the officials “erroneously” skipping a down with 11:45 remaining in the second quarter, leading to the conference issuing a statement to address the mistake.

Always at the forefront of the latest college football news, the popular YouTube group SEC Shorts released a video Monday morning about a young girl shadowing her father, a conference referee, during “Take Your Daughter to Work Day.”

SEC Shorts has set the bar high for themselves, and even by their standards, this video was a good one.

Now 3-0 and ranked No. 6 in Sunday’s AP Poll, the Nittany Lions will welcome FCS Villanova to Beaver Stadium Saturday at 12 p.m. ET on BTN.

Auburn (2-1) dropped one spot to No. 23 and will host Georgia State at 4 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
