A Penn State product is already flashing incredible potential early into his rookie season.

Baltimore Ravens defensive end Odafe Oweh was selected on Sept. 22 as the AFC Defensive Player of the Week.

Oweh came through in the clutch by forcing Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire into a fumble and recovered it with under two minutes left in the game. Oweh also pressured Patrick Mahomes, which resulted in an interception. The Ravens defeated the Chiefs 36-35.

During his first pro game, Oweh sacked Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.

Oweh was drafted by the Ravens with the 31st overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Oweh amassed 38 tackles and six tackles for a loss for Penn State in the shortened 2020 season. Oweh was a First-team All B1G selection in 2020.
