There will be no drama regarding the Chicago Bears quarterback situation heading into NFL’s Week 3.

On Wednesday, Bears head coach Matt Nagy made the call, tabbing Justin Fields as the starter for this week’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Part of the decision was easy due to the injury to Andy Dalton, and it is unclear if Fields will remain the starter if and when Dalton is healthy.

In the meantime, Fields gets the opportunity to cement his spot as Chicago’s starter with a strong game on the road in Cleveland. Fields discussed earning that opportunity Wednesday afternoon.

Here’s a snapshot of what Fields had to say, courtesy of reporter Chris Emma:

Sunday’s game between the Bears and the Browns will kickoff at 1 pm EST on FOX.
