Illinois enters its Week 4 matchup at Purdue riding a three-game losing streak. Since defeating Nebraska 30-22 in Week 0, Illinois has lost to Group of Five opponent UTSA and ACC opponent Virginia, and fell to Maryland in its B1G opener.

Illinois coach Bret Bielema addressed the media prior to the conference clash at Purdue. Bielema updated the status of offensive lineman Dough Kramer and defensive lineman Keith Randolph. Bielema announced that both Kramer and Randolph will be available for the game between the B1G West rivals.

The all-time series between Illinois and Purdue is tied 45-45-6. Purdue won last season’s meeting 31-24 at Illinois. Illinois’ last win in the series was a 24-6 victory at Purdue in 2019.
